LEARN TO PLAY LEVELS
LEVEL 1
Introduction to: Basic hockey stance, forward skating, stationary stick handling, stationary passing, and snowplow stop. (It is recommended that those skaters who cannot skate forward with confidence, first gain experience by taking our “LEARN TO SKATE” program.
LEVEL 2
Introduction to: Stick handling in motion, passing in motion, backward skating, stopping, forward crossovers, shooting, and game concepts.
LEVEL 3
Advanced skill drills: Forward and backwards skating, pivoting, passing, stick handling, and shooting. Introduction to team concepts and game rules.
LEVEL 4
Continuation of level 3 with stronger emphasis on team concepts, team drills, and game rules. After completing the level 3 curriculum players are prepared for our developmental house league.
TRANSITION FROM ROLLER HOCKEY
This clinic is great for rollerbladers ages 9-12 making the transition to ice hockey. This program will also work on developing game skills, shooting, stopping, and backwards skating.
